This compact yet powerful synthesizer features an innovative chord logic system that produces a wide range of sounds, from jazz and guitar chords to sci-fi-inspired "sounds of the moon." Using spread controls, it can replicate the sound range of an 88-key piano despite its smaller size.

Key Features:

  • 8-key chord selection and modification matrix
  • Single-octave keyboard with velocity-sensitive keys
  • 16-voice polyphonic synth engine
  • Built-in ambience and modulation effects
  • Separate bass synth engine
  • Dual stereo speakers
  • Portable battery-powered design
  • MIDI output
  • Loop mode
  • Onboard reverb and delay effects

The synthesizer, featuring a retro-futuristic design by co-founder Ignacio Germade, will be available from December 18 for $549. Initial release includes 1,000 pre-sale units, with delivery expected in early 2025.

Parker conceived the idea for Orchid over a decade ago. The instrument represents the latest innovation from the Tame Impala frontman, who has remained active in various collaborations since the band's 2020 album "The Slow Rush," including projects with Thundercat, Diana Ross, and a remix of Elvis Presley.
