Shopify Shuts Down Yeezy Website Over Nazi Symbol Merchandise
Shopify has removed Yeezy.com from its platform after the website attempted to sell t-shirts featuring Nazi symbolism. The ecommerce site was taken offline after being available through Sunday night and most of Monday.

Yeezy website error after Shopify removal
Shopify confirmed the removal, stating: "All merchants are responsible for following the rules of our platform. This merchant did not engage in authentic commerce practices and violated our terms so we removed them from Shopify."
The controversial merchandise included a shirt displaying a black 45-degree tilted swastika, the symbol used by the Nazi party, with the product code 'HH-01' referencing the Nazi salute 'Heil Hitler.'
This incident follows Kanye West's recent Twitter outburst where he made several antisemitic statements, including praising Hitler. The Anti-Defamation League condemned these actions, noting that "30 antisemitic incidents nationwide were tied to Kanye's 2022 antisemitic rants."
Before any potential ban could be implemented, West deactivated his X/Twitter account after thanking Elon Musk for providing him a platform. Shopify's terms of service explicitly state that the company reserves the right to "restrict products or activities we deem unsafe, inappropriate, or offensive."
