Next-Gen AirPods Pro to Feature Health Monitoring, Possible Camera Integration
Apple's upcoming AirPods Pro will integrate advanced health monitoring features and potentially embedded cameras, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.
The next-generation AirPods Pro, currently in early development, will likely include heart rate and temperature monitoring capabilities. While testing shows the heart rate measurements are slightly less accurate than the Apple Watch, the difference is minimal.

The Powerbeats Pro 2, scheduled for release in 2025, will also feature heart rate monitoring during workouts. Users will be able to connect these earbuds to gym equipment and view their health data in the Health app and other compatible iPhone applications.
iOS Compatibility Updates:
- iOS 19 will support all devices capable of running iOS 18
- Supported devices include iPhone XS and newer models
- Some iOS 19 features may be limited on older devices
- iPadOS 19 will drop support for iPad 7 (2019)
Apple's commitment to AirPods development is evident in their $18 billion revenue from AirPods sales in 2023. While camera-equipped AirPods are still years away, these health monitoring features represent Apple's continued innovation in wearable technology.
