Neil Young has reversed his decision and will perform at Glastonbury 2025, following his earlier criticism of the festival's corporate partnerships. The legendary musician initially declined to perform, citing concerns about BBC's involvement and required commitments, but has now clarified this was due to "an error in the information received."

Glastonbury organizers have confirmed Young will headline the Pyramid Stage, expressing enthusiasm about welcoming him back in June. The festival is scheduled for June 25-29, 2025, at Worthy Farm.

Currently, only two headliners have been confirmed for Glastonbury 2025:

  • Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts
  • Rod Stewart (his first appearance since 2002)

Additional rumored headliners include Olivia Rodrigo and The 1975, though these remain unconfirmed. The complete festival lineup is yet to be announced.

Young's earlier statement criticized the festival's perceived corporate direction, particularly regarding BBC's partnership requirements. However, his latest announcement on his official website embraces the festival, stating, "Happily, the festival is now back on our itinerary and we look forward to playing! Hope to see you there."
