Live Nation and Madonna face a new class-action lawsuit in Washington, D.C., over alleged concert issues during the Celebration Tour. The lawsuit claims multiple violations of consumer expectations and contractual obligations.

Key issues cited in the lawsuit:

  • Shows started around 10:30 PM, despite 8:30 PM scheduled start time
  • Venue maintained at uncomfortably high temperatures
  • Alleged lip-synching during performances
  • Limited transportation options due to late finish times
  • Increased transportation costs for attendees

The plaintiffs, including a clinical psychologist and a schoolteacher, claim breach of contract, false advertising, and deceptive trade practices. One plaintiff reportedly spent $992.76 for two tickets through StubHub.

This lawsuit follows a similar action filed in New York federal court three months prior. Live Nation has already moved to dismiss the earlier lawsuit, citing Ticketmaster's arbitration clause.

Legal Claims:

  • Breach of contract
  • False advertising
  • Intentional and negligent misrepresentation
  • Unfair and deceptive trade practices

The case is filed under docket number 1:24-cv-01118, with proceedings ongoing. Live Nation is expected to contest these allegations in court.
