Lupe Fiasco Partners with MIT to Launch AI-Generated FM Radio Station 'Endless LUP'
Lupe Fiasco is partnering with MIT to create 'Endless LUP,' a groundbreaking AI-powered FM radio station that will generate and broadcast unique rap songs based on his artistic style and abilities.
The station will feature AI-generated songs that play only once and never repeat, making each broadcast unique. Access will be limited to specific times and locations, requiring listeners to use traditional FM radio receivers.

This innovative project comes alongside Fiasco's expanding academic presence. He will join Johns Hopkins University's Peabody Institute as a Distinguished Visiting Professor in Fall 2025, teaching rap as part of their new 4-year Hip Hop Degree Program. He will maintain his existing teaching position at MIT and fellowship at Yale.
At MIT, Fiasco's 'Rap Theory and Practice' class has already established a comprehensive curriculum where students:
- Create complete rap music compositions
- Write and record lyrics
- Perform their work
- Produce EP-length albums
- Analyze existing rap music and lyrics
- Participate in workshop discussions and peer review
While the AI radio station announcement has received mixed reactions from fans concerned about its impact on human artists, it represents a unique intersection of artificial intelligence, music, and education in hip-hop culture.
