Jay-Z's Roc Nation Attorneys Accused of Orchestrating Bribery Scheme Against Buzbee Law Firm
Quinn Emanuel and Roc Nation attorneys are facing allegations of orchestrating a scheme to bribe individuals into suing the Buzbee Law Firm. The accusations have emerged through multiple lawsuits, with the latest filed by Jose Maldonado.

Maldonado claims investigators, claiming to be federal agents but working for Roc Nation, approached him after identifying him as a former Buzbee client. These investigators allegedly offered financial incentives to file lawsuits against the firm. The Buzbee Law Firm is currently representing clients in high-profile cases against Jay-Z and Diddy, including a 'Jane Doe' rape case and numerous sexual assault allegations.
According to the allegations, the investigators disclosed they were being compensated by Roc Nation and were directing cases to attorney Marcy Croft, who has long-standing ties to Quinn Emanuel. The law firm represents Roc Nation as a client.
Tony Buzbee, responding to these allegations, stated that investigators have been illegally approaching former clients across the United States, offering money to initiate lawsuits against his firm. This follows a similar lawsuit filed in December, which included transcripts of alleged conversations with fake federal investigators attempting to solicit legal malpractice claims.
The Buzbee Law Firm currently represents over 150 alleged victims of Sean "Diddy" Combs, who faces federal charges including racketeering and sex trafficking. Jay-Z, Roc Nation's founder, has been involved in related abuse allegation lawsuits connected to Combs.
