The film features Glover singing, dancing, and performing, with scenes showing him being held hostage. Rihanna portrays his girlfriend and partner-in-crime in what's being described as an action/crime movie. In the trailer, Glover reflects on paradise's limitations, stating, "We live in a paradise but none of us actually have the time or the means to live here."

The project is directed by Hiro Murai, known for his work on Glover's "This Is America" music video and the TV series Atlanta. This marks a significant collaboration between the two artists and potentially Glover's first major appearance outside his Childish Gambino persona, which he has announced he'll be retiring.

This revelation comes as Glover adjusts his ongoing "This Is America" tour schedule due to a foot injury, with rescheduled dates including two December performances at The Forum in Los Angeles on the 16th and 17th.

The film was shot in Cuba, though further details remain under wraps, with Glover's team not responding to requests for comment. The PHAROS festival, chosen for the trailer's debut, represents what Glover describes as "a gathering of the five intuitives of the human experience: tribe, ritual, experience abstraction, architecture, language."
