During a recent charity event for the Elton John AIDS Foundation in London, John acknowledged his condition, stating, "I have lost my sight and I haven't been able to see the performance, but I have enjoyed listening to it." His husband, David Furnish, has been supporting him through this challenging period.

In an interview with ABC News' Robin Roberts, John explained the impact on his work: "I can't see a lyric for a start. We're taking an initiative to try and get better, but at the moment that's what we're really concentrating on. I can't read anything, I can't watch anything."

The health setback has forced John to put his new album plans on hold. However, fans can look forward to "Elton John: Never Too Late," a new documentary about his life and career, premiering on Disney+ on December 13. The film, directed by R.J. Cutler and David Furnish, will feature iconic concert footage and personal reflections on his career challenges and successes.
