BBR Music Group has suspended country artist Jimmie Allen following a lawsuit accusing him of rape and sexual assault. The decision came on May 11 after a member of Allen's day-to-day team filed legal action against him.

The lawsuit, filed in Tennessee civil court, alleges sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, sex trafficking, and emotional distress over an 18-month period. The plaintiff, who remains anonymous, is also suing Allen's former manager Ash Bowers and Wide Open Music.
Elizabeth Fegan, the plaintiff's attorney, states that Wide Open Music was aware of Allen's questionable behavior around women but failed to protect their client during her first professional job after college.
Allen has denied the allegations, claiming the relationship was consensual. Wide Open Music has stated they ceased working with Allen after learning of the accusations and has since transitioned out of artist management.
The Country Music Association has removed Allen from the 2024 CMA Fest lineup, where he was scheduled to perform at Nashville's Nissan Stadium on June 11 alongside artists including Ashley McBryde, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, and Tim McGraw.
