Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Soundtrack Brings '90s Nostalgia to Gulf War Setting
Jack Wall, veteran composer of the Call of Duty: Black Ops series, has created a nostalgic '90s-inspired soundtrack for Black Ops 6, set during the Gulf War era.

The soundtrack blends cinematic orchestration with authentic '90s musical elements, combining late '80s synth sounds with early grunge influences. Wall collaborated with alt-rock duo ROMES, whom he describes as "a modern-day Nirvana," to co-write several tracks including the multiplayer theme "Raining the Fire."
The complete soundtrack features approximately 160 minutes of original music, with 20 minutes dedicated to multiplayer mode and the remainder enhancing the single-player campaign's cinematic experience. The score is structured around two key pieces: the main theme and the multiplayer track.
Wall's extensive music industry background includes engineering work at prestigious studios like Synchro Sound Studios (owned by The Cars) and Skyline Studios NYC, where he worked with artists such as John Cale, David Byrne, Dr. John, and Patti Smith. Since Black Ops 2 (2012), he has been the primary composer for the entire Black Ops series.
