This landmark event will be the band's first performance together in 20 years and will feature an all-star lineup of metal legends they influenced, including Metallica, Anthrax, Gojira, Pantera, and Slayer. Ozzy, who has recently stepped back from performing due to health issues, will deliver a short solo set before joining his former bandmates.
Sharon Osbourne confirmed this will be 76-year-old Ozzy's final concert, stating, "He didn't have a chance to say goodbye to his friends, to his fans, and he feels there's been no full stop. This is his full stop."
The event will be directed by Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello and will include performances from:
- Alice in Chains
- Halestorm
- Lamb of God
- Mastodon
- A supergroup featuring Billy Corgan, Slash, Fred Durst, Wolfgang Van Halen, and Tom Morello
Formed in Birmingham in 1968, Black Sabbath has sold over 75 million albums worldwide and established the foundation for modern heavy metal. All proceeds from the event will benefit Cure Parkinson's, Birmingham Children's Hospital, and Acorn Children's Hospice.
Tickets go on sale February 14 at 10 AM GMT through Live Nation.
