Paramount+ has announced a new feature-length documentary, "Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now," chronicling the rock legend's recent struggles and his preparation for a final performance.

The documentary, currently in production and set to premiere on Paramount+ later this year, will offer an intimate look at Osbourne's life since his devastating fall in 2019. The project is being produced by Echo Velvet in collaboration with the Osbournes and MTV Entertainment Studios.

BAFTA Award winner Tania Alexander is directing the film, which began shooting in early 2022 during the recording of Ozzy's 13th studio album, Patient Number 9. Filming will continue through summer 2025, capturing Ozzy's final performance with Black Sabbath in Birmingham on July 5.

The documentary features exclusive access to:

  • Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne
  • Their children
  • Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi
  • Notable musicians including Duff McKagan, Robert Trujillo, Billy Idol, Maynard James Keenan, Chad Smith, and Zakk Wylde

"The last six years have been full of some of the worst times I've been through," Ozzy shares. "Making music and making two albums saved me. I'd have gone nuts without music."

Sharon Osbourne emphasizes that the film will showcase Ozzy's battle with various health issues, including Parkinson's disease, and his remarkable resilience throughout these challenges.

The documentary is executive produced by Bruce Gillmer and Amanda Culkowski (MTV Entertainment Studios), Phil Alexander (Echo Velvet), and Sharon Osbourne (Sharon Osbourne Management), and will be available exclusively on Paramount+ later this year.
