
FireAid Surpasses $100 Million in Wildfire Relief Funds, First Grants Coming Mid-February
FireAid has successfully raised over $100 million for wildfire relief efforts, with the first phase of grants expected to be distributed by mid-February. The fundraising total includes proceeds from ticket sales, sponsorships, merchandise, and donations.

Key contributors include Steve and Connie Ballmer, who are matching donations dollar for dollar until February 7th. Notable private donations came from Irving Azoff, U2, the Eagles, and Andrew Hauptman and Ellen Bronfman Hauptman.
The Annenberg Foundation is leading the FireAid Grants Advisory Committee, which comprises experienced LA-region philanthropic leaders. They are currently finalizing the distribution strategy for the funds to ensure they reach those most in need.
Additional wildfire relief efforts include:
- The Grammy Awards raised $24 million
- Jelly Roll performed a free Rose Bowl show for first responders
- The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) established a dedicated fund
- Live Nation's Gve a Fck LA benefit concert at Hollywood Palladium
- "Give a Frock" memorabilia auction running until February 25th
- Bandcamp pledging 100% of profits on February 7th to MusiCares
The FireAid concerts attracted over 50 million viewers, making it the most successful fundraising initiative for wildfire relief in the music industry to date, while continuing to accept donations through early February.
