YouTube and Google Pledge $15 Million for Los Angeles Wildfire Relief
Google and YouTube have pledged $15 million to support Los Angeles fire relief efforts through various organizations, including Emergency Network Los Angeles, American Red Cross, the Center for Disaster Philanthropy, and the Institute for Nonprofit News.

YouTube CEO Neal Mohan emphasized Los Angeles's importance as an entertainment hub and home to many creators, announcing plans to provide production facilities to affected creators once safe to do so. The company will also organize events to support community rebuilding efforts.
Other major tech companies have joined the relief efforts:
- Snap: CEO Evan Spiegel, CTO Bobby Murphy, and the company distributed $5 million in immediate aid
- Meta: Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan committed $4 million ($2 million in cash and advertising credits)
- Meta activated Safety Check, used by over 400,000 people to confirm their safety
Additional support comes from entertainment industry leaders including Disney, Comcast, Paramount, Universal, Netflix, Amazon, and Warner Bros. Discovery.
