Bria, which operates primarily in image generation, differentiates itself through its "Multi-Modal Attribution Engine" - a system that tracks and compensates rightsholders for content used in AI training. The company currently partners with 30 data providers, including Getty Images and Freepix.

The platform offers:

  • Text-to-image generation models
  • Brand-specific generative tools
  • Developer solutions
  • AI-powered marketing features
  • Editing capabilities

Bria plans to expand its attribution model to include music, video, and text generation. This approach contrasts with other AI companies that often lack clear compensation frameworks for rightsholders.

Founder Yair Adato emphasizes that expanding their attribution technology beyond images will help create a "truly sustainable creative economy" by ensuring responsible access to IP content and fair compensation for creators.

This development follows recent AI licensing initiatives in the music industry:

  • Sony Music's leadership in Vermillio's $16M Series A
  • Musical AI's $1.5M pre-seed funding
  • Universal Music's partnership with ProRata for per-use revenue sharing
