UPROXX and will.i.am Team Up for Pre-Grammy LA Check-In Event Supporting Fire Relief
UPROXX and will.i.am's FYI are joining forces to host the 'LA Check-In,' a pre-Grammy event supporting LA music community and fire relief efforts. The event will take place on Friday, January 31, from 8 PM to midnight PST at will.i.am's FYI Campus in Hollywood.

The event will feature performances by Coast Contra and appearances from notable artists including DJ Drama, DJ Hed, and Samantha Ronson. Attendees will enjoy a premium open bar and live DJ sets throughout the night.
All proceeds will benefit the i.am Angel Foundation's emergency fund, supporting affected families, students, and communities through partnerships with LAUSD Foundation, Pasadena Educational Foundation, and Core Foundations.
In related news, UPROXX has launched its 7th Annual Music Critics Poll, featuring input from nearly 300 music critics. The poll introduces two new categories this year:
- Top 20 Music Videos
- Top 20 Album Covers
These additions complement the existing Top 50 Albums and Top 20 Songs categories, building on the success of UPROXX's Sound+Vision Awards. The poll represents a comprehensive analysis of the year's musical landscape, incorporating perspectives from journalists, critics, and industry experts who evaluated over 900 albums and 700 songs.
