The event, supported by CEIPA and Toyota Group's Music Way Project, launched on February 25 to promote the globalization and sustainable growth of the Japanese music industry. The concert featured prominent J-pop artists Ado, Atarashii Gakko!, and Yoasobi, with a portion of ticket sales supporting LA wildfire recovery through MusiCares.

Prior to the main event, JETRO Los Angeles hosted the Matsuri '25: JP Music Industry Mixer. Executive Director Yoshiko Tsuwaki opened the proceedings, followed by CEIPA's presentation on Music Awards Japan (MAJ), led by board member Tatsuya Nomura and Executive Director Taro Kumabe.

A key highlight was the panel discussion on "Music Festivals and Live Events: The Key to Japanese Artists' Success in the International Market," moderated by Ryan J. Downey. The panel explored how Japanese artists are breaking into the global music scene, addressing touring challenges and international partnerships.

Ellen Lu, VP of Regional Festivals at Goldenvoice, noted: "One of the great advantages is that musicians from Japan are very open to working with and collaborating with anime or gaming. These artists are not just reaching fans that are music fans."

The success of Matsuri '25 demonstrates the growing influence of Japanese artists in the global music industry, showcasing their ability to connect with international audiences while maintaining their unique cultural identity.
