
UMG Partners With Music Health Alliance to Launch Groundbreaking Mental Health Fund for Music Industry
Universal Music Group (UMG) and Music Health Alliance (MHA) have joined forces to establish the Music Industry Mental Health Fund, providing comprehensive mental health support for music industry professionals nationwide.

The new initiative expands upon their existing four-year partnership, which has already helped nearly 1,000 artists access healthcare services. The fund will offer:
- Personalized recommendations for mental health counselors and psychiatrists
- Financial grants to offset treatment costs
- Funding resource recommendations for continuous care
- 24-hour response time for initial inquiries
- Access to MHA's team of advocates
Services are available to both current and former music professionals, extending beyond UMG's immediate network.
Susan Mazo, UMG's Chief Impact Officer, emphasizes the importance of establishing "a streamlined pathway for mental health access, funding, and care planning."
MHA Founder and CEO Tatum Hauck Allsep highlights their comprehensive approach, including:
- Financial assistance
- Continuum of care for mental and physical health
- Psychiatric support
- Intensive outpatient and inpatient programs
- Data collection
