AI music startup Suno has announced a significant partnership with legendary producer Timbaland, featuring an exclusive pre-release of his latest single "Love Again" - even as the company faces ongoing legal battles with major record labels.

The partnership includes multiple components:

• Exclusive streaming of "Love Again" on Suno's website
• Launch of MUSE, a content series showcasing Suno's creative tools
• A remix contest offering $100,000 in prizes
• Access to the song's stems for public remixing

Timbaland, the Verzuz co-founder, views this collaboration as an opportunity to "make AI work for the artist community." He's particularly enthusiastic about Suno's "Covers" tool, which generates variations of original works.

Suno CEO Mikey Shulman expressed excitement about the partnership, stating their goal is to help "musicians create music at the speed of their ideas—whether they're just starting out or already selling out stadiums."

This partnership comes amid Suno's ongoing legal disputes with Universal Music, Sony Music, and Warner Music over AI training and copyright infringement issues. While these battles continue, Suno has partnered with Audible Magic and is actively working to change negative perceptions about AI in music creation.
