Three individuals in Argentina have been arrested and charged in connection with Liam Payne's death, which occurred on October 16 when he fell from his Buenos Aires hotel room balcony.

The charges include abandonment of a person followed by death and narcotics-related offenses. The suspects include:

• A hotel employee who allegedly provided cocaine to Payne
• A drug supplier
• An individual who was with Payne throughout his Buenos Aires stay

Preliminary toxicology results confirmed cocaine in Payne's system, with final results expected in the coming weeks. The autopsy revealed death was caused by traumatic injuries from the three-story fall. Investigators found evidence of narcotics and alcohol in his room, suggesting Payne may have been in an altered state during the incident.

The prosecution indicates Payne likely fell while in a "semi or total unconsciousness" state, noting a lack of defensive wounds. Police also discovered clonazepam and over-the-counter medications among his belongings.
