Tekashi 6ix9ine has negotiated a deal for early release after violating his parole conditions. The rapper will serve one month in jail followed by three months of home incarceration with electronic monitoring.

The agreement, approved by Judge Paul A. Englemayer, includes:

  • One month jail sentence
  • Three months home detention
  • One year of court supervision
  • Mandatory drug testing
  • Travel restrictions

The violations occurred when 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, failed multiple drug tests and traveled without prior permission. This comes after his 2019 conviction on racketeering and weapons charges, which resulted in a two-year prison sentence, $35,000 fine, and supervised release.

Previously, the rapper was released early in April 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns related to his asthma and bronchitis. Judge Englemayer expressed disappointment in the rapper's failure to comply with release conditions after receiving this compassionate release.

During the hearing, Hernandez apologized to the judge and claimed he wasn't a bad person. The final sentencing will take place on November 12, where both parties must justify why the proposed terms are sufficient given his repeated violations.
