Spotify Removes Andrew Tate's Controversial Podcast Following Policy Violation
Andrew Tate's podcast titled 'pimping hoes' has been removed from Spotify following employee complaints and a petition signed by 92,000 people. The removal comes after previous de-platforming from YouTube and TikTok.

Spotify confirmed the removal was due to violations of their content policies, which prohibit 'dehumanizing' statements about individuals or groups. While this specific podcast was removed, other Tate content remains available on the platform, including material about dating advice.
The decision follows ongoing legal troubles for Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan, who face charges of human trafficking and exploitation of minors in Romania. According to DIICOT, Romania's anti-organized crime agency, the brothers allegedly used 'loverboy' tactics to exploit victims for online pornographic content, generating approximately $2.8 million in illegal proceeds.
The platform's approach to controversial content remains selective. Similar to their handling of R. Kelly's music following his convictions in 2018, Spotify typically opts to reduce promotion rather than completely remove content. In R. Kelly's case, his music remains available but is no longer actively promoted in R&B playlists under their 'Hateful Conduct' policy.
