
Sony Music Publishing Expands to Thailand, Names Tatchara Longprasert as General Manager
Sony Music Publishing (SMP) has expanded its operations by launching a new flagship office in Thailand, marking a significant milestone as the first international publisher with a dedicated local team in the country.

Tatchara Longprasert has been appointed as General Manager of SMP Thailand, reporting directly to Carol Ng, President of Asia, Sony Music Publishing. Longprasert brings over a decade of industry experience, having previously served as A&R Director at Sonray Music and held positions at Warner Music Thailand and BEC World PLC.
The Bangkok office will focus on:
- Developing and promoting Thai songwriters globally
- Building partnerships with local music labels and collection societies
- Expanding creative and commercial opportunities in the Thai market
- Providing comprehensive publishing services
Carol Ng emphasized Thailand's rich musical heritage and growing repertoire, noting increased demand for dedicated music publishing services with global reach. Guy Henderson, President, International, expressed confidence in the new team's ability to advance Thai writers' global achievements.
