Meta Quest is partnering with Dorsey Pictures, 7 Cinematics, and Light Sail VR to produce an immersive virtual reality concert featuring Shawn Mendes at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The 83-minute performance will premiere on January 24 at 5 pm PT in Meta Horizon Music Valley.

The 180-degree VR experience offers viewers an intimate front-row perspective of Mendes' Friends & Family Performance, showcasing the venue's natural acoustics and scenic beauty. The setlist includes popular hits like "Stitches," "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back," "In My Blood," and "Why Why Why."

"Red Rocks was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen in my life," says Mendes. "That night was so special to me, and I'm so happy to be able to bring it to those who couldn't be there in person."

The concert will be available to Meta Quest 3S, Quest 3, Quest 2, and Quest Pro users, who can currently RSVP for the event. Sarah Malkin, Director of Metaverse Entertainment Content at Meta, emphasizes that the production aims to capture the intimate connection between Mendes and his fans.

Limited-time replays will be available in Meta Horizon Music Valley following the premiere.
