The charges against Kingston, 34, and Turner, 61, include:
- Conducting a scheme to defraud
- Identity theft
- Grand theft
- Related financial crimes
According to Broward County Sheriff's Office warrants, the pair allegedly stole:
- Nearly $500,000 in jewelry
- Over $200,000 from Bank of America
- Over $100,000 from First Republic Bank
- $160,000 from a Cadillac dealer
- $86,000 from a custom bed maker
Their attorney, Robert Rosenblatt, states they are "confident of a successful resolution" and will address the charges in Florida court.
This isn't the first legal trouble for either party. Kingston is currently serving a two-year probation for trafficking stolen property. Turner previously served approximately 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to bank fraud in 2006, involving theft of over $160,000.
Kingston, whose real name is Kisean Anderson, is known for his 2007 No. 1 hit "Beautiful Girls" and his collaboration with Justin Bieber on "Eenie Meenie."
