Kingston, born Kisean Paul Anderson, was arrested on May 23 after a SWAT team raid on his South Florida mansion. His mother, Janice Turner, was also arrested and faces eight separate charges, though she has reportedly posted bail.

The arrest warrant, dated May 20, details allegations that Kingston and Turner defrauded several businesses, including:

  • A jeweler (approximately $480,000 in merchandise)
  • An exotic car dealership
  • Multiple other businesses, with total damages "well into the six-figures"

Kingston is currently held without bail in a San Bernardino county jail, awaiting an extradition hearing to return to Florida. He was already on probation for trafficking stolen property when these new charges emerged.

His attorney, Robert Rosenblatt, stated to NBC News: "We want him back ASAP so we can show this is merely a civil case and not criminal. We look forward to challenging this case in court."

The "Beautiful Girls" singer, who hasn't released music under a major label in over a decade, now faces:

  • Multiple counts of identity fraud
  • Issuing faulty checks
  • Probation violation
  • Grand theft
  • Various fraud charges
