Sean 'Diddy' Combs Claims Federal Agents Leaked Cassie Attack Video to CNN
Federal prosecutors have firmly denied allegations by Sean 'Diddy' Combs that they leaked hotel security footage showing him attacking Cassie Ventura in 2016. The footage, which first appeared on CNN in May, led Combs to publicly apologize for actions he had previously denied.

In a clear statement to the judge, prosecutors emphasized they "were not in possession of the video before its publication by CNN" and had not obtained it through grand jury proceedings. They also confirmed that Homeland Security Investigations had not accessed the video prior to CNN's release.
Combs, currently held without bail, faces serious charges including:
- Sex trafficking
- Transportation to engage in prostitution
- Racketeering conspiracy
His defense team argues that information leaks have created "damaging, highly prejudicial publicity" that could compromise his right to a fair trial. They're pursuing a trial date in April or May 2025.
