PPL Distributes $58 Million in Q4 2024, Expands Reach to Azerbaijan and Guatemala Markets

Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL) has announced its Q4 2024 distribution of £45.3 million ($57.5 million), showing a 7% decrease from Q4 2023's record payout. The distribution includes revenue from VPL, its music video subsidiary, benefiting over 137,000 performers and rightsholders.

  • 69 international CMOs contributed (up from 63 in Q4 2023)
  • Major payments from France, Netherlands, Sweden, US, and Portugal
  • First-time contributions from Azerbaijan (RAYS) and Guatemala
  • International payments increased 29.9% YoY to approximately $21 million
  • Over 9,400 members received their first payment

PPL CEO Peter Leathem emphasized the organization's strong performance in its 90th year, highlighting the expansion of their CMO partner network and support for emerging artists' sustainable careers. The company also distributed a £2.3 million ($2.9 million) Annual Supplementary Remuneration Fund payment.
