Peloton has removed all of Sean "Diddy" Combs' music from its platform following the release of a 2016 video showing him assaulting ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. The company confirmed they have paused the use of Diddy's music and removed the Bad Boy Entertainment Artist Series from their platform.
The fitness company announced on their member Facebook page that instructors will no longer use his music in any newly produced classes. This decision came after members expressed concerns, similar to the platform's removal of Kanye West's music in 2022 following antisemitic remarks.
Following the footage's release, Diddy issued a public apology on social media, taking "full responsibility" for his actions - despite previously denying the behavior. Due to settlement terms, he legally cannot mention Cassie by name, leading many to criticize his apology as insincere.
The controversy has led to further consequences, including discussions about potentially revoking Diddy's key to New York City, which was awarded to him by Mayor Eric Adams in September, just months before Cassie filed her lawsuit alleging physical abuse.
