Rapper OG Maco, known for his 2014 breakout hit "U Guessed It," has passed away at age 32 following a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Atlanta native died on Thursday, December 26, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he had been in intensive care since December 12.

His family confirmed his passing through a statement on social media, celebrating Benedict Chiajulam Ihesiba Jr.'s (OG Maco's birth name) life as "a testament to resilience, creativity, and boundless love."
The Quality Control Music signee faced several health challenges throughout his career. In 2016, he survived a serious car accident with multiple injuries. He later battled necrotizing fasciitis, a rare skin-eating disease that developed from an improperly treated facial rash, requiring extensive treatment and multiple surgeries.
Before his passing, OG Maco had documented his recovery journey on social media, sharing his progress and offering hope to others facing similar challenges. His family expressed gratitude to his fans, friends, and supporters for standing by him throughout his journey.
