The charged individuals and their alleged offenses include:

Manslaughter Charges (1-5 years if convicted):

  • Gilda Martin (Hotel Manager) - Failed to prevent Payne from being taken to his dangerous hotel room
  • Esteban Grassi (Receptionist) - Instructed others to 'drag' Payne to his room instead of seeking medical help
  • Roger Nores (Payne's Friend) - Failed to fulfill duties of care and abandoned Payne despite knowing his vulnerable state

Drug Supply Charges (4-15 years if convicted):

  • Ezequiel Pereyra - Allegedly sold pink cocaine to Payne on October 15 & 16
  • Braian Paiz - Allegedly sold cocaine to Payne twice on October 14

Judge Laura Bruniard noted that while those charged with manslaughter didn't intend Payne's death, their actions contributed to the risk. The two drug suppliers have been taken into custody, while the investigation continues.

'Pink cocaine' can contain a dangerous mixture of substances, including ketamine, MDMA, methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and xylazine.
