Miami Beach Rescinds Diddy's City Key Following Vice Mayor's Scathing Condemnation
Miami Beach has officially revoked Sean "Diddy" Combs' key to the city, which was originally awarded in 2015. The decision comes amid serious allegations against the music mogul.

Vice Mayor Alex Fernandez strongly condemned Combs, describing the allegations as "disgusting," "dirty," and "inhumane." The city commission, led by Mayor Steven Weiner, unanimously voted for the revocation on October 30. The city has also canceled the annual Diddy Day, previously celebrated on October 13.
This action follows New York City's similar decision to rescind Combs' key after surveillance footage emerged showing him allegedly assaulting ex-girlfriend Casandra Ventura in 2016. Ventura filed a lawsuit in November 2023 alleging sexual and physical assault, which was settled one day later but sparked multiple similar legal actions.
Combs, 54, is currently detained in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting his May 2025 trial. He faces charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution, to which he has pleaded not guilty. His requests for bail have been denied twice.
