Mariah Carey recently addressed speculation about her 2024 Spotify Wrapped thank-you video being AI-generated, firmly denying these claims on social media.

"Bad lighting and a red lip have you all thinking this is AI??" Carey tweeted, explaining her appearance in the Santa-inspired red dress with white trim. "There's a reason I'm not a fan of either of those things!"

In the original Spotify Wrapped video, Carey thanked fans for their support and mentioned the 30th anniversary of her "Merry Christmas" album, also teasing upcoming new music. The video sparked debate among viewers, with some questioning its authenticity due to her appearance.

The message was part of Spotify's 2024 Wrapped campaign, where top artists record personalized messages for their most dedicated listeners. This year's Wrapped revealed Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and Bad Bunny among the most-streamed artists globally.

Carey is currently completing her 2024 holiday tour, scheduled to conclude on December 17 in Brooklyn. Her classic "All I Want For Christmas Is You" has once again entered the Billboard Hot 100's Top 10, reaching #10 on the latest chart.
