Liam Payne's Fatal Hotel Fall in Buenos Aires Investigated as Possible Suicide, Police Say

Five witnesses report Payne was alone during the incident, which occurred around 5 PM local time on Wednesday. Hotel staff called emergency services regarding an "aggressive man" potentially under the influence of substances, which were later found in his room.
Hotel guests reported hearing prolonged disturbances, including banging and shouting, throughout the day before the fall. The hotel manager heard "a loud noise" before police discovered Payne had fallen from his room's balcony.
Payne was visiting Buenos Aires for a concert by former bandmate Niall Horan, where the two had recently reunited. At 16, Payne joined One Direction after appearing on "The X Factor" in 2010. His former bandmates and Cheryl Tweedy, mother of his child, have not yet commented on his death.
