Justin Bieber and Top Celebrities Hit With Major Lawsuit Over Bored Ape NFT Promotions
A class-action lawsuit has been filed against numerous celebrities, including Justin Bieber, Madonna, The Weeknd, and Paris Hilton, for allegedly promoting Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs without disclosing their relationship with Yuga Labs.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court's Central District of California, names 37 co-defendants and claims that talent manager Guy Oseary orchestrated a scheme using MoonPay as a front to secretly compensate celebrities for promoting Yuga Labs products.
According to the 100-page filing, MoonPay, which presents itself as a service helping wealthy individuals purchase NFTs, was allegedly used to process undisclosed payments from Yuga Labs to celebrities who promoted the BAYC NFTs.
"The executives at Yuga and Oseary together devised a plan to leverage their vast network of A-list musicians, athletes, and celebrity clients and associates to misleadingly promote and sell the Yuga Financial Products," states the lawsuit.
Yuga Labs has denied these allegations, stating, "In our view, these claims are opportunistic and parasitic. We strongly believe they are without merit, and look forward to proving as much."
