Millions of Americans will soon receive one-time inflation relief checks of up to $400 as part of a $2 billion state-level relief package. These payments will be distributed automatically, requiring no applications or paperwork from recipients.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must have filed taxes
- Cannot be claimed as a dependent
- Income must fall within qualifying ranges
Payment Amount by Income Level:
- Single filers earning under $75,000: $200
- Single filers earning $75,000-$150,000: $150
- Joint filers earning up to $150,000: $400
- Joint filers earning $150,000-$300,000: $300
The initiative, led by Governor Kathy Hochul, will benefit approximately 8.2 million people. Payments will be distributed automatically based on the most recent tax filings, with exact distribution dates to be announced soon.

- Expanded Child Tax Credit offering up to $1,500 annually for families with two children
- Enhanced benefits for families with children under four
