Diddy & Sam Bankman-Fried Share Prison Unit: Crypto Fraudster and Music Mogul Under Same Roof
Sean 'Diddy' Combs and Sam Bankman-Fried are now sharing the same unit at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC). The music mogul faces serious charges including racketeering and sex trafficking, while his fellow inmate Bankman-Fried is serving a 25-year sentence for crypto fraud.

Despite Diddy's legal team proposing a $50 million bond and 24/7 security monitoring, the judge denied bail due to concerns about witness tampering. He was placed in a special housing unit designed for high-profile inmates, where Bankman-Fried has resided since his bail was revoked last year.
The MDC facility, which houses approximately 1,200 inmates, has faced numerous complaints about overcrowding and poor conditions. Diddy's lawyers have described the conditions as "too horrific" for a pre-trial defendant and are pushing for a speedy trial.
The case against Diddy involves extensive evidence, including witness testimonies, photos, videos, and text messages. His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, is working to arrange access to government-provided discovery materials while his client remains incarcerated. Currently, Diddy's legal team has not requested a transfer from the MDC.
Bankman-Fried, who was convicted for his role in the FTX cryptocurrency exchange collapse, chose to stay at MDC while pursuing his appeal. His fraud scheme involved billions in misappropriated customer funds used for various purposes, including venture capital investments and personal expenses.
