The band confirmed the news on social media, stating "In 2023, Dead & Company played their final tour. But there are other ways to make sure the music never stops." This announcement comes after their supposed farewell tour, which concluded at San Francisco's Oracle Park in July.
The $2.3 billion Sphere venue, owned by Madison Square Garden's James Dolan, has also secured Phish for a four-night run in April. The state-of-the-art venue is reportedly in talks with other major artists, including Beyoncé.
The residency format particularly appeals to the band members due to its stationary nature, eliminating the need for extensive touring. While official details are pending, the formal announcement is expected this week, marking another significant booking for the revolutionary Las Vegas venue.
