Dame Dash Reveals R. Kelly Collaboration Led to Split with Jay-Z: "I Wanted No Part of That"
Dame Dash recently revealed that Jay-Z's collaboration with R. Kelly was the primary reason for their split from Roc-A-Fella Records, during an interview with 'The Art of Dialogue.'

Dash expressed his disbelief at Jay-Z's willingness to work with R. Kelly, particularly given Kelly's controversial marriage to Aaliyah - Dash's former girlfriend - when she was just 15 years old. "The fact that Jay was fucking with him is what used to blow my mind more than anything," Dash stated.
According to Dash, he directly confronted Jay-Z about the collaboration, asking, "How you gonna do a project with a n-gga that raped my motherfucking girl?" Jay-Z reportedly responded by distancing himself from Kelly's actions, saying "I ain't have nothing to do with that."
The situation ultimately led to Dash's departure from Roc-A-Fella Records. "I left Roc-A-Fella. It wasn't that I got kicked out of Roc-A-Fella; I left Roc-A-Fella. I was done," Dash explained.
Recently, Dash's share in Jay-Z's album "Reasonable Doubt" was sold at auction for $1 million. The proceeds will go toward settling his $8.7 million in back taxes, an $800,000 lawsuit settlement, and $145,000 in unpaid child support.
Separately, Jay-Z is currently facing allegations regarding an incident at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards, which he has strongly denied.
