New York-based singer-songwriter Carly Glenn has released her debut album "The Beauty of It All Pt. 1," blending dynamic pop energy reminiscent of Dua Lipa with bold songwriting styles similar to Chappell Roan.
With a BFA in musical theater from The Hartt School and training in comedic filmmaking and improv from The Harold Ramis Film School and The Second City, Glenn brings a unique perspective to her music. Her sound draws inspiration from late noughties pop while maintaining its originality.
"I write what I know and sound like myself. I don't try to imitate anyone else," Glenn explains. Her songwriting process serves as a therapeutic outlet, allowing her to process personal experiences and share relatable stories through music.
Since her 2018 EP "Who Is Carly Glenn," she has released three music videos and three singles, leading up to this debut album. The record showcases her diverse background in film, performance, voice, and marketing, creating an authentic snapshot of an emerging artist's journey.
