Cambridge Club Festival Joins Growing List of 170+ Music Event Cancellations for 2025
The Cambridge Club Festival has announced the cancellation of its 2025 edition after seven successful years of operation. The festival, known for hosting legendary performers like Diana Ross, Chaka Khan, and Lionel Richie, joins over 170 other music events that won't take place next year.

While organizers haven't explicitly stated the reason for cancellation, rising operational costs likely played a significant role, as similar factors have affected numerous other festivals in the industry.
The festival's journey began in 2016 as a simple gin festival Facebook event before evolving into a major weekend-long music celebration at Childerley Orchard. The 2024 edition attracted approximately 25,000 attendees and featured performances from renowned artists including Chaka Khan, Jessie Ware, Earth Wind & Fire Experience, Melanie C, and Natasha Bedingfield.
In their farewell statement, organizers expressed gratitude to attendees: "After seven golden years in the festival field with you, we are now taking a few moments to reflect and look at what the future holds for this special community of music fans." They highlighted the festival's growth from a local day party to hosting iconic artists like Nile Rodgers, Grace Jones, The Jacksons, and Kool & The Gang.
The organizers have indicated they will share updates about future plans when available, leaving the door open for potential returns or new ventures in the coming years.
