The innovative production combines 21st-century VR visuals with 19th-century theatrical elements, featuring moving curtains and modern lanterna magica for live music. The setlist celebrates Björk's lifetime of creative innovation, with all performances available in spatial audio exclusively on Apple Music after the premiere.
In conjunction with the film's release, Björk will give her first on-camera interview in ten years with Apple Music 1's Zane Lowe on January 23 at 10am PT/1pm ET. The interview covers her creative process, the climate-focused film, her use of technology in music creation, and her collaboration with Sir David Attenborough.
The film represents a collaborative effort between Talkhouse, Level Forward, and Snowstorm Productions. Talkhouse President Ian Wheeler notes this as "the first of many to come film projects" while praising it as "an unparalleled achievement."
Following the premiere, fans can stream both the performance and live-recorded tracks on-demand through Apple Music.
