Beyonce performing at Ravens-Texans NFL game
Beyoncé is set to perform during halftime at the Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens NFL game on Christmas Day, streaming live on Netflix. The performance will mark the debut of songs from her new Cowboy Carter album at Houston's NRG Stadium.
The event is part of Netflix's first NFL Christmas Gameday, featuring:
- Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (1 PM ET)
- Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens (4:30 PM ET)
The performance holds special significance as it takes place in Beyoncé's hometown of Houston. The game will also air on broadcast TV in the competing team cities and will be available on NFL+ for US mobile devices.
Beyoncé enters this performance with 11 Grammy nominations for Cowboy Carter and its singles, making her the most-nominated artist in Grammy history. Her nominations span multiple categories including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year, across pop, country, Americana, and rap genres.
This isn't Beyoncé's first NFL performance - she previously headlined the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show in New Orleans (featuring a Destiny's Child reunion) and appeared during Super Bowl 50's halftime show with Coldplay. Her upcoming Christmas Day performance aligns with her husband Jay-Z's role as head of music and entertainment programming at the NFL.
