Afeela EV by Sony and Honda Selects Spotify as Exclusive In-Vehicle Entertainment Partner
Sony Honda Mobility has announced that Spotify will be the exclusive in-dash entertainment partner for their new electric vehicle project, Afeela. The announcement came during CES in Las Vegas, where the company revealed pricing and pre-order details for their upcoming EV models.

The Afeela lineup includes two models:
- Afeela 1 Origin: Starting at $89,900
- Afeela 1 Signature: Starting at $102,900
Both models include a three-year subscription to in-car features, including driver assistance and an AI-powered personal assistant. Through the Spotify integration, drivers will have access to:
- Over 100 million songs
- 6 million podcast titles
- 350,000 audiobooks
- Personalized recommendations
- Recently played content
- Custom playlists

Currently, pre-orders are only available in California with a $200 refundable deposit. The vehicle's design combines elements of the Honda Accord and Lucid Air, featuring a sophisticated sensor suite and extensive dashboard displays. Sony Honda Mobility CEO Yasuhide Mizuno has described the latest prototype as "near final," though the production model's final design elements, such as the handleless doors, remain to be confirmed.
The partnership represents a significant step in integrating premium entertainment services into next-generation electric vehicles, offering seamless access to Spotify's extensive content library directly through the vehicle's entertainment system.
