50 Cent Claims Jay-Z Attempted to Block His 2022 Super Bowl Performance
50 Cent claims Jay-Z attempted to block his appearance at the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show, where he performed alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige.

In a recent interview on "Talk With Flee" with Cam'ron, 50 Cent revealed that Jay-Z, who has been organizing the Super Bowl Halftime Show through Roc Nation since 2019, allegedly tried to prevent his performance by claiming the NFL had issues with him.
50 Cent questioned this reasoning, pointing out his successful business relationships with 11 major league sports teams through his Sire Spirits liquor company. He suggested the attempted blocking stemmed from unnecessary competition within hip-hop culture, noting that Jay-Z's actions seemed particularly puzzling given he wasn't actively competing for music chart positions.
According to 50 Cent, his participation in the show was ultimately secured through Eminem, who reportedly refused to perform unless 50 Cent was included. This claim was previously mentioned in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, where 50 Cent stated, "Eminem wouldn't do it without me. That's how I ended up on the show."
The performance went ahead as planned, becoming one of the most memorable Super Bowl Halftime Shows in recent years, featuring a star-studded lineup of hip-hop legends performing their greatest hits.
