US Government Slams Diddy's Racism Claims as "Outrageous and Illogical" in Court Filing
The US government has formally responded to Sean "Diddy" Combs' accusations of racial targeting, calling his claims "outrageous and illogical" in court documents filed on March 4.
The government's response emphasizes that race played no role in the charges against Combs, which include sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Instead, they assert the charges stem from "decades of criminal conduct."

US government responds to Diddy accusations
Combs' legal team filed a motion last month focusing on the Mann Act charge, claiming no white person has ever been targeted under this law, which prohibits transportation of women for sex. They argue Combs "has been singled out because he is a powerful Black man" and is being prosecuted for conduct that typically goes unpunished.
The defense also claims:
- All sexual activity between Combs and others was consensual
- Federal prosecutors have been leaking case information to media
- The government's handling demonstrates bias and prejudices the jury pool
The government denies all allegations of discrimination, with prosecutors previously calling such accusations "baseless" during an October pre-trial hearing. They warn these claims pose a "serious risk" to conducting a fair trial, which is scheduled to begin on May 5.
