Universal Music Group Nashville Restructures Leadership as CEO Mabe Departs
Universal Music Group (UMG) has announced a significant reorganization of its Nashville operations, marking a strategic shift to capitalize on country music's growing global influence. Mike Harris, previously COO and EVP, has been appointed as CEO, while nine-time Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb joins as Chief Creative Officer. This restructuring follows the departure of Cindy Mabe, who served as Chair and CEO of UMG Nashville.

Mike Harris brings extensive industry experience, having joined UMG Nashville in 2016 after 15 years at EMI, where he held various leadership positions including EVP GM for Caroline.
Dave Cobb, renowned for his production work, has collaborated with numerous acclaimed artists, including:
