
Snowflake Hacker Arrested in Canada Over Massive Ticketmaster Data Breach
A Canadian man suspected of being the "Snowflake hacker" behind major data breaches at Ticketmaster and other companies has been arrested. The suspect, identified as Alexander Moucka (also known as Connor Moucka), was arrested on October 30, 2024, following a request by the United States.

The cyber attack impacted over 165 Snowflake instances, affecting major companies including AT&T, Ticketmaster, and LendingTree. Prior to his arrest, the hacker (using the alias Judsiche) claimed to have destroyed evidence and attempted to compromise remaining data to avoid prosecution.
The breach significantly affected Ticketmaster's operations, leading to:
- Multiple extortion attempts
- Unauthorized release of Taylor Swift concert tickets
- Claims of ability to generate 30 million barcodes for high-profile events
- Widespread reports of missing tickets from customer accounts
- Temporary suspension of Taylor Swift ticket resales
The suspect appeared in court on the afternoon of his arrest, with the case adjourned to November 5, 2024, according to the Canadian Department of Justice.
