A second Jane Doe accuser in a sexual assault case against Sean "Diddy" Combs may lose her anonymity following recent judicial developments. This comes after a first Jane Doe was already ordered to reveal her identity.

United States District Judge Vernon S. Broderick has temporarily allowed the second accuser to maintain anonymity, pending potential objections from the defense. The case, filed on October 20, will require the plaintiff to address her anonymity status within seven days of the defendants' appearance.

The judge acknowledged the plaintiff's concerns, noting: "Plaintiff's interest in anonymity stems from her allegations that she was drugged and raped by Sean Combs — a celebrity now under indictment for sex trafficking — and possibly one or more of his associates."

Key timeline requirements:

  • Plaintiff must file a letter regarding anonymity within 7 days of defendants' appearance
  • Defendants have 21 days after being served to file any opposition

This development follows Federal Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil's ruling that the first Jane Doe must refile under her real name by November 13. These cases are among dozens of similar filings against Combs since his September arrest on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

Attorney Tony Buzbee, representing both cases, has indicated that over 120 additional lawsuits may be filed against Combs in the coming weeks.
